Local Business Spotlight: Petals and Paints Florist

A longtime area resident and Kingsway graduate, Amy Davis grew up in a family of florists- some of her most cherished childhood memories include tagging along and helping while her mother worked in a family floral shop.  Her love of flowers and her background in graphic design led Amy to purchase Petals and Paints nine years ago, from the shop’s previous owner.  The former owner was an artist, and sold paintings and portrait frames in addition to flowers and plants- hence the name of the shop.

Local Business Spotlight: South of SoHo Boutique!

Frustrated by the lack of nearby options for women’s clothing, Sharon VanNoy-Frisby realized she had an opportunity to change the local market. She envisioned a boutique that would meets the needs of stylish, busy women such as working mothers- a place to experiment with different fashion trends, and to feel spoiled and special. Sharon decided to make her vision a reality, and on March 15th, 2013, South of SoHo celebrated its grand opening in the downtown business district of Swedesboro.

BD Sports Takes the Game to a New Level in Swedesboro

Brothers Bryan and Dylan Jordan decided it was time to open up shop after working in the sports industry for several years, organizing and facilitating athlete meet and greet sessions at large sports conventions. Named for its owners, BD Sports arrived in Swedesboro in June of 2011 and has become a hotspot for sports fans from all over the tri-state area.
