📢 FORMAL NOTICE OF REASSESSMENT – BOROUGH OF SWEDESBORO

 

The Gloucester County Office of Assessment will be conducting a reassessment of all real property located within the Borough of Swedesboro.

 

🔎 What This Means:

• The reassessment ensures uniform and equitable property assessments.
• Inspections will begin within the next few weeks and continue throughout 2026.
• The new assessed values will be effective for the 2027 tax year.

 

🏠 Property Inspections:

• Representatives from the County Assessor’s Office will be visiting properties.
• The first visit will be unannounced and will include:
• Exterior inspection and photos of structures
• Interior inspection (if convenient at the time)
• If no one is home, contact information will be left to schedule an appointment.
• A person of legal age must be present for any interior inspection.
• Do not allow anyone into your home without proper identification.

 

📬 Important Dates:

• Preliminary assessment notices expected on or after September 2026.
• Final assessed value notices will be mailed on or around November 1, 2026, in the form of a Notice of Property Tax Assessment postcard.

 

Residents will have an opportunity to meet with a County representative to review information before final values are issued.
