The Borough of Swedesboro is seeking a full-time NJ Registered Municipal Clerk/Registrar of Vital Statistics.

The candidate must possess both a Registered Municipal Clerk and Certified Municipal Registrar Certificate. The successful candidate will perform all statutory duties of the Municipal Clerk and Registrar of Vital Statistics. Responsibilities include Secretary to the Governing Body, Chief Administration Officer of Elections and licensing, issuing Vital Statistics records, and all other duties of the Municipal Clerk in accordance with State and Local statutes. Must attend Borough Council meetings. The candidate must be capable of managing and handling a diversified work load, must be proficient in Microsoft Office/Edmunds, and customer service oriented.

Hours: Monday, 8:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday 8:00 a. m. – 4:30 p.m. Friday 8:00 a.m.-Noon. Additional hours are required monthly for Council meetings, for all elections and other special circumstances. This position requires a person who is at least 21 years of age and a U.S. Citizen per NJSA 40A:9-133.2.
