As winter weather continues, the Borough of Swedesboro would like to remind residents and property owners of their responsibility to keep sidewalks clear following a snowstorm.

Per Borough ordinance, the owner or tenant of any property that borders a public sidewalk is required to remove snow and ice from that sidewalk within 12 hours of daylight after the snow or ice has fallen. Keeping sidewalks clear helps ensure safe passage for pedestrians, including children, seniors, and those with mobility challenges.

Your cooperation plays an important role in maintaining a safe and accessible community for everyone. Thank you for doing your part and for helping keep Swedesboro walkable during the winter season.
