Winter Storm State of Emergency – Important Information for Residents ![]()
Please be advised that Gloucester County has officially declared a State of Emergency in response to the significant winter storm impacting our region. The formal declaration was executed today, February 23, 2026 .
Due to historic snowfall totals, sustained accumulation, hazardous roadway conditions, and ongoing operational impacts, the following protective measures are now in effect:
• No Street Parking Restriction – All roadways within Gloucester County are subject to a no street parking restriction to ensure plow operations and emergency vehicles have unobstructed access for snow removal and emergency response.
• Travel Advisory – Residents are strongly encouraged to refrain from operating motor vehicles unless travel is necessary for emergencies or by essential personnel. Limiting traffic volume is critical to allow public works and emergency responders to focus on maintaining primary and emergency routes.
