Borough Completes Environmental Resource Inventory

In a partnership with the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC) and the Association of New Jersey Environmental Commissions (ANJEC), the borough recently conducted an environmental resource inventory, identifying its natural resources.

During the November 14, 2012 meeting of the Swedesboro Planning Board, the Swedesboro Environmental Resource Inventory was presented to the board by Amy Miller of the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC).

The study dealt with the the environmental resource inventory for the Boro of Swedesboro.  The inventory identified and described the natural resources of Swedesboro which included its soil, water, air, plants, animals and water and land use.

“This study will help us preserve the quality of the resources that we all value and cherish” Mayor Thomas Fromm stated, “I want to thank those who worked tirelessly on this effort to put this information together.”
