Today Borough Clerk, Tanya Goodwin, signed the papers to purchase the Auction property along with Gloucester County.  In the near future Gloucester County will turn their portion of the property over to Swedesboro making the Borough the sole owner of the historic property.

“Another major milestone in Swedesboro!!  We are now one step away from completing a journey we started almost 9 years ago to secure the Swedesboro Auction Property as Open Space forever.”  Swedesboro Mayor, Tom Fromm said.

“I’d like to thank the Swedesboro Auction Board of Directors for their patience throughout this process and for entrusting us to preserve an important part of the agricultural history of our community.  I also need to thank Ken Atkinson of the County’s Land Preservation office and the Board of Chosen Freeholders who played an important role in making this a reality.”

“Stay tuned for the next exciting news about the future of the Swedesboro Auction property.”

A formal deed ceremony will be scheduled for a later date to officially finalize the purchase of the property.
