We will be flushing the drinking water system during the above dates and times.  During this process, discolored water is possible.  Please check the water before use.  If discolored, run water until clear.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

MAYS LANDING, N.J. — April is National Safe Digging Month, and Atlantic City Electric reminds customers to be safe and call 811 before tackling any outdoor construction project that involves digging.

811 is the nationally recognized “Call Before You Dig” phone number designated to help save lives by minimizing damages to underground utilities. One free call to 811 connects you to New Jersey One Call, which notifies the appropriate utility companies of your intent to dig. Professional locators are then sent to the requested digging site to mark the locations of underground facility lines with flags or spray paint. Continue reading

Swedesboro Welcomes Newest Restaurant: Eagle’s Diner

The Borough of Swedesboro is excited to welcome our newest business owner, John Kangal and his restaurant Eagle’s Diner.  Located at 95 Woodstown Road in Swedes Plaza, the diner boasts a menu filled with a variety of delicious offerings such as prime rib, fresh greek salads, and homemade chicken pot pies and will feature daily specials for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  The diner officially opens its doors on Monday, April 7th, and the hours of business are 6am to 10pm, seven days a week.  Eagle’s Diner will honor competitor’s coupons, and diners can call ahead (856-294-9110) or stop in for orders to go.  Welcome to Swedesboro, John, and best of luck with your new restaurant!

“Celebrate Trees!” March Program a Success!

A Tree-ific time was enjoyed by adults and kids alike during the second chapter of The Swedesboro Shade Tree Commission’s Celebrate Trees Program held Monday, March 24th at the library.  6 of the 13 kids had participated in our October 24, 2013 event and when we heard parents talking about the Ginkgo tree, we were told that their girls have been sharing what they learned in October.  Kids teaching the Parents……way to go.  Thank you to all for helping to make the program a success.
