Hip Hop Shop celebrates Grand Opening

SWEDESBORO, NJ:  The Hip Hop Shop is pleased to announce the Grand Opening of its new facilities in Swedesboro, New Jersey.

The Hip Hop Shop, located at 1940 Kings Highway, offers a fun approach to fitness with a slate of adult classes including House Party Fitness, Zumba, and Dance & Sculpt.  They also have Kids Hip Hop classes and it is a great location for birthday parties and other events.  Information about the available services can be found on their website www.thehiphopshop.us

On January 20, 2016, a combined effort was made to welcome the newest business to town.  Helping to celebrate and host the Grand Opening were the Economic Development  Committee of Swedesboro (the EDC), New Visions Networking, and the Greater Swedesboro Business Association.  Approximately 25 people attended this event.  This was the first time that they EDC hosted a Grand Opening.  Councilwoman and ECD member Diane Hale opened the celebration welcoming Jenn Romano and The Hip Hop Shop to town.  Mrs. Hale went on to say how the town has been growing and expanding exponentially.  She reminded people to “support your local businesses.  These are the shops that hire your children and support your local needs”.  About the Hip Hop Shop itself, Mrs. Hale said, “this is an awesome space and I love the way you decorated it!”.

Swedesboro Councilwoman Alice O’Blennis was also on hand to help with the ribbon cutting.

Jenn Romano, owner of the Hip Hop Shop said she has quickly grown and is so excited for what the future holds for her and her business.

Mayor Tom Fromm, who was not able to make the celebration stated, “We’ve had a number of new businesses opening in town and existing businesses are expanding and improving their properties.  Swedesboro has become a town that people are willing to invest in and we hear from prospective new businesses all the time.  Our slogan to any potential new member of our business community it “This is the town, and now is the time” because we feel that as the economy picks up we are positioned to fully capitalize on what we have here in Swedesboro.”

Due to the success of today’s event, Swedesboro and the EDC would like to help any other new business or existing business celebrate an anniversary in the future.  “We look forward to helping businesses in town succeed and will lend a helping hand to help promote economic development in Swedesboro when necessary”, said Ceri Galati, EDC member and co-founder of New Visions Networking.
