Borough Extends it’s Condolences

The Borough of Swedesboro will lower our flag to half-staff in honor of the passing of Mrs. Santina Bellace and Mr. Samuel Zappala, two people who epitomize what our town is all about.

Mrs. Bellace lived in Swedesboro for 72 years and she was totally dedicated to her family, Saint Joseph’s Church and our town. Mrs. Bellace was best known for her sunny disposition and smile, and I remember getting goosebumps when she gave me one her trademark “Smiley” key chains after a visit to her house. She made a lot of people feel the same way over the years.

The Borough of Swedesboro offers sincere condolences to Phil, Rosie, Charlie and the entire Bellace family.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mr. Samuel Zappala was born and raised in Swedesboro and active in his church and community. Mr. Zappala was one of the first members of the Swedesboro Reserve Police Department back in the 1960’s. His service to our town and community is a model for those serving today. Thank you for your service to our town Office Sam Zappala.
The Borough of Swedesboro offers our condolences to Jean and Salvatore and the entire Zappala family.
Encore! Encore!
The Borough of Swedesboro is in the spotlight as a ‘Desirable Destination’ in South Jersey Biz Magazine. We are so proud of our little town and all of the businesses and residents in it. We could not be Swedesboro without YOU! Our little community houses over 300 years of history and were only lucky enough to witness new history and memories come from it everyday.
